Terms & Conditions

1. General Overview

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of services provided by Shandrika S. May, including but not limited to personalized coaching, business solutions, social media retainers, and other offerings ("Services"). By engaging with these Services, you ("Client") agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Nature of Services

  • Coaching Disclaimer: Coaching is a partnership focused on achieving personal and professional goals. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice and does not replace these services.

  • What Coaching Is: Coaching provides tools, guidance, and accountability to support self-discovery and goal achievement.

  • What Coaching Is Not: Coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment, medical advice, or legal counsel. Clients with significant mental health concerns are encouraged to seek appropriate professional support.

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment for all Services is split: 50% upfront and 50% during the final week of project completion.

  • Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation of Package: Clients may cancel with a partial refund only if there are more than two weeks remaining in a package.

4. Scheduling and Cancellations

  • Free Consultations: Complimentary consultations are limited to one per service type. Missed consultations cannot be rescheduled.

  • Package Sessions: Weekly calls must occur within the defined package timeframe. For example, a 4-week package requires calls to happen once per week within those four weeks. Missed weeks cannot be made up. A reschedule may be possible during the same week if there's availability.

  • Tardiness: If a client is more than 10 minutes late to a call, the session may need to be rescheduled at the discretion of the provider.

  • Rescheduling: Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours' notice to avoid forfeiting the session.

5. Client Responsibility and Commitment

  • Success depends on the Client’s dedication, effort, and follow-through on agreed-upon actions. Results are not guaranteed and are contingent upon Client engagement.

6. Deliverables and Revisions

  • Business solutions clients will receive up to 3 revisions per deliverable.

  • Changes in Project Scope: Any additional scope beyond the original agreement will be priced as needed based on the complexity of the request. Pricing and timeline adjustments will be communicated before proceeding.

7. Retainer Policies

  • Retainer hours must be used within the specified period; unused hours do not roll over.

8. Privacy Policy

  • All personal and sensitive information shared by the Client will remain confidential and securely stored.

  • Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties unless required by law.

  • Services are conducted using secure platforms like Zoom to maintain privacy.

9. Service Delivery

  • Services may be delivered virtually (via Zoom) or in person, depending on the nature of the engagement and mutual agreement.

10. Limited Liability

  • Shandrika S. May will not be held responsible for delays, errors, or unforeseen issues that affect service delivery.

  • The Client agrees to indemnify the provider against claims arising from misuse or misinterpretation of Services.

11. Termination Policy

  • Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days' written notice.

  • Early Termination Penalty: If the contract is canceled with at least two weeks remaining, a financial penalty will apply. The penalty will be the greater of $150 or the value of the remaining contract balance.

12. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved under Texas jurisdiction.
